The Cry

Scream. We do it all the time; happy or sad; you just go fro it.
How about scared. It comes with the combo, too.

This one here is one of my favorites, The Scream by Edvard Munch. So fascinatingly delicate, so strong and thick at the same time. The face is just impressive, it is vital for every person that thinks is sick, to see. This is clearly what you're looking for when you want to shed a tear.

In a page in his diary headed Nice 22.01.1892, Munch described his inspiration for the image thus:

"I was walking along a path with two friends – the sun was setting – suddenly the sky turned blood red – I paused, feeling exhausted, and leaned on the fence – there was blood and tongues of fire above the blue-black fjord and the city – my friends walked on, and I stood there trembling with anxiety – and I sensed an infinite scream passing through nature."   (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Scream....obviously)

So, according to his diary entry, we, the public, can now understand why art is another language, a language like any other--used to express a message.  But then that's where the debate takes place; what if you did art for no reason...? Is that even possible?

So on the bus, Gaby and Lilay told me that you cannot fold a piece of notebook paper in half more than 7 times! Pretty shocking huh? I didn't believe her so we tested it out, and guess what!!! IT WAS TRUE!!! The first video is a blooper because I accidentally said that my name was Gaby. Then Aislinn kept saying that we could edit it and I was saying to just start a new video. It was pretty hectic but it was funny. (It sounds funny when you say funny) The second video was pretty crazy because we were almost to the bus stop so we needed to hurry up. To give you (whoever you are) a clearer understanding of the subject I made the third video at home. I am not very fond of the video I made though because I seem so quiet and calm and fake. Also, I think it's kind of creepy. Especially that weird face I made at the end D:

POEM

I WISH I COULD POST THE DELIGHTFUL PICTURES I TOOK TODAY IN AUDUBON CENTRE.
I WISH I COULD HAVE HIM TEACH ME BALLET.
I WISH I COULD SINK IN THE  MUD AGAIN.
I WISH I COULD POST THOSE PICTURES I TOOK TODAY IN AUDUBON CENTRE; THOSE PHOTOS OF FROGS, SNAKES, AND TOADS.
THOSE PHOTOS OF LANDSCAPES AND DIRTY FEET.
THOSE.
BUT I CAN'T.
BECAUSE TOMORROW IS SCHOOL, AND I HAVE TO SLEEP TIGHT.
SO I HAVE TO GO, I DON'T HAVE TIME.
I'LL LEAVE YOU THERE, HANGING.
HANGING FROM A CLIFF, WANTING TO TAKE THE LIFT.
HANGING FROM A CLIFF.
I WISH I COULD POST THOSE PICTURES I TOOK TODAY.

LALALAAAA!

I had a photo shoot with my cousin on Saturday and was meaning to post the pics, but hadn't uploaded them yet. I really liked this photo shoot because I got a lot of pics where she is moving and they look SOOOO cool...
My theme for this photo shoot was like wondering, dreamer, little girl, but it was hard to get the "right" shot.
 cute, kinda rustic
I like this one because of the colors in the background and how she looks like she is attacking!
This one is my FAVORITE!!! I love it and have no idea how I even took it! I feel like this could be the picture on a cover of a The Spinto Band CD.

How are YOU doing today?

So today I attempted to have a photo shoot with my cousin. Unfortunately, she is not very natural and is kind of stiff so it was kind of hard to get a good pose out of her... Anywho, here are some of the pics...
Her GORGEOUS skirt!!! I want it! It has this little beige piece of lace on the top and the rest is this pearlish pink with beige butterflies. I am stealing it from her >:D MUAHAHAHA... it's to short for me, but i'll make it work :)
randomness...
I LOVE this one!!! she just finished jumping, but I think she this picture is so ADORABLE :3 !!!
 More jumps D:
wow.

Remember These?

NO.

Muah

We are, a pair of idiots. Yes. We are given time to work on science fair project...effect...we jump up and down, as a girl takes pictures of us...Extremely awkward having someone photographing you: She kept saying that we had to do work...blah, blah, blah....and that she needed US to video tape her.......get your camera! Geez. Ok, never mind. I'm insulting everything today...I must be maad.

Up and down, up and down...she goes up, I go down. DOWN.

We, look like a pair of anti-sobriety protestants.

Look at that! It was soooo much fun...

Bliiink!

It all started with I've always wanted to take picture of that graffiti... OK hon, it's your birthday...

The thing is awesome, there is just no other way to describe it...or is there..???

So, we start jumping; apparently my camera shoots extra-fast, so the photos came out really nice. But we look like idiots. I mean look at that! The fact that your expression changes while you are doing something "mad", is mad. And then, you add the high-speed photography... humiliating. But we apparently jump high! That's like what, a foot and a half?! That's, that's good. Good.

Then, we poke the Popsicles, POKE. And this is funny: Aby's hair is gracefully down...long...LONG! And mine is pulled up in a miniature ponytail--showing off it's shortness... We are the opposite  when it comes to fashiooon..I guess: I wear pants, she's in a skirt...I mean dress...I wear winter clogs...she wears Toms wrap up awesome boots...I wear a grey sweater..she wears one too! HA! :) I have my hair up, she has it down...IIIIII don't know what else...I'm not wearing bracelets...she is...but I'm wearing my camera bff-necklace...she's not. Whatever. BYE.

im so proud of this one post.........

Woo! Wa! Our palm begins to get soaked with blood. How enchanting. To think that blood stains on the table are a sign of disgrace, laziness, and animal-like brains to some people... But, of course that is only because we all are different, which sometimes is extremely unfortunate...though. Nevertheless, Aby's brain was invaded by The Art, which I was proud to witness.

Clean. Those. Brushes. FINE. In fact, they will make a majestic part of my composition once I'm done. It was one of those momentswhen you don't care at all about the verb you're supposed to be taking care of for others; your own reason, it becoming a parasite relation...or just a commensalism relationship...or mutualism..??? I don't know, depends on the human. Anyhow, it is the product of the thing you want.
Oh, and guess what, we didn't even win the contest. I say we, because Aby hopped in with me. Apparently, the judges only wanted some Valentine's Day-pink-Cupid-bleh crap. Yes. Crap. And with all due respect, I mean all of it, because it is true; a baby-blue background with love over it...looking like a scarpbook page thing...and a I don't know what...it looked just ridiculous! Geeeeeez, we're not FIVE! There are, were, will not be sentiments in those canvases! NONE. Now, note how I just made fun of people...I feel so bad, but that's what blogging is about...to let it all out. Unless the person who will read, is reading this is the one I'm making fun of, and I go to school with...then I will probably receive a...what's it called? A....oh yeah! Referral, for cyber-bullying, or something of the sort. Too bad, I'm letting it out. And I'm not paraphrasing again..I seem to always forget. And this post's tone is rather violent and dirty. Dirty for an innocent Gaby.
ANYWAY
Now, Aby alone won, and it was the best of the winners; seriously. Simple, plain...powerful, yes, and let me emphasize...it was a work well done! And now I feel bad because I didn't take a picture of the love. It was a volcano that was shooting out hearts. Hearts. Hearts that had been cut out in such a delicate manner, that it hurt you to look at the edges....Then, in the same fascinatingly graceful way, she cut out the words________(I'm sorry, I forgot the quote) But it was good stuff I tell you! I am so very proud of her, because it was I guess her very first artistic experience...I don't know what else to call it...when you win or are recognized because of your blood stains... You get the point. It was a fail, and a win-win, and a I don't know.
"We have to do this"

Ok, so, yes, I went mad. With paint, and glitter, and people seemed to care. "Oh Gaby!" "I like your face" "You have paint on your face...no really." I had gone all day without putting stuff on my face, so I just had take advantage of the metallic blue and purple sitting in front of me.. What do I do? I start with some brown strokes on my cheeks...Then move to my nose...then forehead..next thing I know, I'm running to the bathroom with Aby, two brushes, and a plate full with blood.  I get out...after ambushing a 7th grader with paint brushes and painting a heart on her cheek..Aby did too! I'm not a bad person, really, I'm not. Anyway, I step out of the girl's restroom with my face like a Picasso, or something like a fish, or something, just two colours...like a cow you know? A cow, only the colours were purlpe and blue... And my nose was dipped in brown paint, and then gracefully topped with glitter...a thing of beauty. Yes, indeed, it was hilarious!

Then, I get home, and intend to take a picture, but I, with my amazing photographic sense, start running with the camera in front of me (because I seriously think that taking a picture of yourself...on your own is dumb! While actually standing in the middle of oxygen, that's why I ran... It is just ridiculous! Awkward to watch, and the thing comes out disgusting anyway, so whats the point? I don't know.) and shoot...you know snap. And the glitter looks like a booger...coming out of my nose...and going up my nose. I don't really care, because that's the very point of being an Andy Warhol nedry-type-of-fan.............to not care about the little errors, because in my opinion (and stepping out of the Warhola topic), I think that whenever you try to do something perfect...to get close to perfection, you actually look like an idiot, and it is not perfect. Why? Cause. No, just kidding, because humans aren't meant to be perfect, and that's the whole point of our lives: To live with it. Apparently. SO.

So. So, then, after blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah......I wash it off, and the sink steals my 15-minute-fame..........
